Kids' Space Day

Kids' Space Day

Do your kids love outer space? Let them experience it by attending Kids’ Space Day on the first Saturday of every month at A Time for Science. The next one is on April 6. Come out, explore space, and then stick around to enjoy the rest of the museum.

The Experience

Kids’ Space Day gives kids access to the special Space Bound exhibit. This exhibit has everything you could possibly want that’s related to space. Kids can play with a robotic MARS rover and other objects, investigate the universe, and learn about the tools used in outer space. It’s hands-on, so they will get to dive right in and experience space.

Each month has a different theme, so kids will get to immerse themselves in a different part of space with each trip. In January, the theme was the moon, followed by the planets in February. The themes for March and April have yet to be announced but expect it to be something your kids will love.

A Time for Science Expo

You’ll also want to attend the A Time for Science Expo on March 16, from 11 a.m. to 3 p.m. This free event will include more than 40 exhibitors, plus lots of hands-on activities. This is a great event for families. There is something for all ages, so make plans to attend.

Spring Break Camp

If your kids are going to be on spring break on April 22–26, consider sending them to Spring Break Camp at the museum. This nature and science-based day camp includes kayaking, hiking, games, and picnic lunches. You kids will learn all kinds of things, and they will have a blast.

Now that the kids are covered, it is time to think about yourself. What can you do to make yourself happy? How about getting a new vehicle from Doug Henry Chevrolet Buick GMC in Farmville, North Carolina? You’ll love your new vehicle as much as your kids enjoy Kids’ Space Day and the other activities at A Time for Science.
