Soon, the weather will change, making it ideal for grilling your favorite foods outside. However, with things like steak, burgers, and hot dogs, why not try something different? You can grill pizza using this dough recipe that only calls for two ingredients. If you haven’t done this before, you should.

An Exciting Way to Make Homemade Pizza

Whether hosting a sporting event party, having friends over for a small get-together, or feeding your family, it’s fun and easy. Even better, this recipe makes delicious dough. From there, you can add whatever toppings you want.

Ingredients

Here’s all you’ll need to make this tasty pizza dough.

  • 2 cups of self-rising flour (about 1/4 cup extra to dust a flat surface when rolling out the dough)
  • 1 1/4 cups of plain Greek yogurt
  • Extra virgin olive oil (used to brush the dough – you don’t need to count that as an ingredient)

Directions

Not many people make pizza on a grill. So, if you’re preparing it for your family, they’ll love the idea. Even better, they’ll love the dough’s flavor and texture.

For outstanding results, follow these directions.

First, turn the grill’s heat to medium. If there’s a thermometer on your grill, it should reach 450 degrees Fahrenheit. While it’s heating, move to the next step.

Second, put the flour and yogurt in a large bowl. Then use the tongs on a fork to blend the dough. However, it doesn’t need to be smooth. Rather, you want it to appear somewhat crumbly. Initially, you might think it’s dry, but as you move on, that’ll change.

Third, mix the pizza dough with your hands to form a ball. If needed, add one to two tablespoons of water to achieve the desired texture. For this, only add a tablespoon at a time. That way, it won’t become soggy. When finished, place the ball of dough onto a lightly floured surface.

Fourth, knead the dough for about seven minutes. During the process, sprinkle the dough with a small amount of flour. Ultimately, you want it smooth and slightly elastic. At that point, you’ll need to divide the pizza dough. Put them in separate pieces of parchment paper, each measuring about 11 inches in diameter. Now, brush the tops only with a little extra virgin olive oil.

Fifth, carefully transfer one or both pieces of the dough to the grill. However, don’t throw the parchment paper away. Next, cover the grill or close the lid. Cook the dough until it’s golden brown. Usually, that takes two minutes. Then turn the dough over to cook the other side for an additional two minutes.

Add Your Favorite Toppings

Adding the pizza sauce, cheese, and your preferred toppings is the only thing left to do. Depending on how much time you have, you could make sauce from scratch. Otherwise, a store-bought product works fine.

As for the cheese, you can choose mozzarella or some other kind. It only takes about 10 minutes to make this yummy dough. Therefore, you can make several, then add different toppings to each one. Not only that, but you can also make them whatever size you want.
